PERFORMING ARTS APPLICANTS
Applying to performing arts programs is about more than talent—it requires strong audition preparation, a compelling application, and a well-researched college list. This program provides one-on-one coaching with industry professionals to help students refine their performance, while Daniel Strom ensures their applications highlight their artistic and academic strengths.
Audition & Performance Coaching
Our experienced performing arts coaches work closely with students to develop their skills and confidence for prescreens and live auditions.
Audition Preparation: Personalized coaching on monologues, vocal performances, and dance routines.
Prescreen & Callback Support: Guidance on recorded submissions and live auditions, helping students present their best work.
Repertoire Selection: Assistance in choosing monologues, songs, or choreography that showcase range and ability.
Portfolio Development: For students in Directing, Music Composition, and Arts Management, support in curating a strong artistic portfolio.
College Admissions & Application Support
While coaches focus on artistic preparation, Daniel and the admissions team help students navigate the college application process, ensuring their materials are just as polished as their performances.
College List Strategy: Find programs matching each student’s artistic and academic goals.
Personal Statements & Artistic Supplements: Helping students craft meaningful essays that reflect their passion and experiences.
Resume & Extracurricular Activities Review: Organizing performance experience into a professional resume that reflects the student’s Application Brand.
Scholarship & Financial Aid Guidance: Identifying funding opportunities tailored to performing arts students.
Interview Preparation: As a former admissions interviewer at Northwestern University, Daniel is equipped to help students excel in the interview process.
Waitlist & Deferral Support
If a student is waitlisted or deferred, we provide guidance to help strengthen their application:
Letters of Continued Interest (LOCI): Thoughtful follow-ups that reinforce the student’s commitment to the program.
Admissions Communication Strategy: Professional outreach to maintain engagement.
Additional Materials: Guidance on submitting updated performance recordings or achievements to improve chances of admission.
